How to make a pizzelle cookies and a pizzelle cookie bowl

My husband came home with some really fresh and super-yummy maple walnut ice-cream. A simple bowl would not do it justice but I was not about to dress up the twins to go into town to get waffle bowls.  Hence the birth of the Pizzelle cookie bowl
Pizzelles
3 eggs
3/4 cup of white sugar
2 tsp of vanilla
1/2 cup of melted butter
1 3/4 cup of white pastry flour
2 tsp of baking powder
Mix the eggs, butter, vanilla and sugar .
Mix the flour and baking powder together in another bowl.
Slowly add the flour/baking powder to the eggs/butter/vanilla/sugar mixture.
Plug in your pizzelle maker.
Carefully glide a 1/2 tsp of butter on the grills.
Drop a tablespoon of pizzelle batter in the middle.
Cook for few minutes or longer depending on how crispy you like them. You really have to check them every few minutes to see how they are cooking. Darker = crispier
This is how I like them.
This is how Cesina likes them
This is how the gemelas like them and perfect for making bowls because they are more flexible.
Place the hot..right of the grill pizzelle over an upside down bowl and gently push the corners to form the shape.
Wait until it's cool and load up.
Enjoy!

Thank you for the sensible critique. Me & my cousin were just preparing to do some research on this. We got a book from our local library but I think I learned better from this post. I’m very glad to see such great info being shared freely out there…
